how well is this carb working a year later? another YT guy said things like the rubber on accel pump etc is cheap and wears out prematurely and said go for it when i asked him if i shud just use my previous carb rebuild parts in it.

Show us after it warms up. That's where the problem is. It's not cold starting.

That smaller cam hes running, in a 350 st car from a dead stop wil pull hard smoke tires and drive like oem. Its not the line so much. ANything much bigger is simply overcammed. Some of the strongest st combos out there are mild just well thought out.

I want half my engine to just be a cam ,I want it bigger than the crank I might remove the top half and just have a giant cam.

how would i add a ground cable cause this is very similar to my issue and ive been told this but i have no idea how to do it. I have a 5.7 350 vortec in my 97 c1500.

So do you think that would work for a first time software install? Cause I followed the directions but the little touch screen was pressing all the options when I tried pressing one. I finally made it to where it built the tune but it would not communicate with the tbi. Somehow the wizard was gone after that. I did what you did but like you said I could not erase that one file. This is my first one and it's for a customer and that was very frustrating. I'm going to try this how you did exactly tomorrow.

My 1974 AMC Matador OEM card is a 2150. I have had the car almost 30 years. The OEM carb warped and the accel pump housing leaked no matter what I did. So in place of a new 2150 at $300 I tried one of these. With a few adjustment is works great. Time will tell but at the price willing to try. Thx

I installed one on my 350 and the gap between the starter gear and the flexplate when the starter isn't engage was too large. I had to take the aluminum mounting plated off and have it machined .190 of an inch to get it to work.

The old carb is a 2150 (it has a two-stage power valve). The new carb has a single stage power valve on it, so is a 2100 or early 2150. There's a casting mark on the side of the carb body that should indicate the venturi size. It'll be 1.08 (2100), 1.21 (early 2150), or 1.28 (late 2150). Of course, these things are copies made in china, so you'd probably be well advised to actually measure to verify the venturi size. I've seen reports that they come with jets that are too small, and the float may need adjustment. You can also get brass floats for them (better than the plastic ones because those can absorb fuel and fail over time, where a brass one will always be right).

Would a Gen III ATK LS crate engine from Jegs be reliable enough for use in a daily driver project? I haven't heard any positive or negative thoughts on these engines. I just want a reliable engine. Or would I have just as good of luck simply going to a junkyard and having a mechanic look at the junkyard engine? (I realize that a person never really knows what they're getting with junkyard engines. However, they can normally be had for half the cost or better than a basic crate engine. Eventually, I might be adding or changing the springs, camshaft, intake, exhaust. Thanks in advance for any advice, opinions, or answers.

This has got to be one of the dumbest videos I've seen. You're cutting an oil filter with tin snips, which in case you don't know it, leaves a ragged, razor sharp edge. And to top it off, where are your gloves? An accident waiting to happen! A Big thumbs down!!

Flowmaster has that signature sound. Hard to beat it. Maybe Magna flow for a different sound but not a big fan of turbo mufflers or glass packs.

I installed a set of vortec 062 heads on a 1993 350 block. I went with a slight milder cam. My question is what length push rod do I need? Will is change much or could I use stock vortec push rods?

I've got a set of 40 series on my 85 Corvette they sound great but drone me to death on the inside of the car can't hear my radio half the time and it gives me a headache I don't mind a loud good sounding car if all the noise would fracking stay on the outside of it so I'll replacing them soon just haven't decided on muffler's to get.
